PART II
Skill-Experience Assessment
We apply state-of-the art simulators and real hardware for skill-testing:
- Our simulators are designed by top engineers, and are comparable to those used by the US Navy and Air Force. They’re located in-house in Linden, NJ, and allow us to test, evaluate, and prepare candidates for every and all possible circumstances and contingencies. With over 10,000 test scenarios, we can put drivers through tests matching your specific needs. They can save evaluations to CD-ROM for playback, feedback, review, and critique.
- TPJC has industrial and commercial equipment and machinery, allowing us to test, evaluate, and certify driver candidates -- and even update their skills as needed. We use 24-ft. to 53-ft. trailers and tankers, as well as box trucks, bobtails, buses, or pups. All can be either loaded or unloaded as you require. Transmissions range from 6-speed to 18-speed. We also have forklifts, electric/manual hydraulic lifts, backhoes, booms, and conveyers available for training.
PART III
How to choose the right driver staffing partner
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration holds your company accountable for each driver you use, including those contracted through a driver staffing firm. If you choose a staffing supplier who does not properly screen and qualify the drivers they dispatch, you could suffer the consequences. We’ve put together a handy list of issues you should consider when selecting a driver staffing partner.
